On July 19, 2025, NETIZEN Co., Ltd. organized a corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity at Rak Sa Mae Bridge in Rayong province, a well-known coastal mangrove conservation area. This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of local communities and grassroots environmental networks.
The main objective of this activity was to promote awareness and employee engagement in sustainable marine and coastal conservation. Our team participated in the creation of Rope Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) — also known as artificial seagrass — a recognized local innovation that plays a vital role in restoring marine biodiversity.
What is a Rope Fish Aggregating Device?
A Rope FAD, or artificial seagrass, is a simple yet powerful tool used for marine restoration. Constructed from natural rope and biodegradable materials, the FADs are designed to be submerged in coastal waters, providing shelter and breeding grounds for juvenile marine life. They also help to slow coastal wave energy and enhance biodiversity in fragile marine ecosystems.
This process not only creates environmental value but also offers an immersive learning experience for participants, allowing them to connect with nature in a tangible and impactful way.
